All About Tape-in Hair Extensions
You like my hair? Gee thanks, just bought it.
Are you or someone you know looking into hair extensions? Have no fear, Courtney with her fake hair is here!

Yep, that's fake hair! Doesn't look like it? Thank goodness, because I spent some big bucks on it!!
I got all da info for you- if you're looking into tape-in hair extensions!
So there are different types of hair extensions: Clip in, Tape in, and Bead extensions.
The hair stylist I saw really tried to get me to pick bead extensions, but I stuck with my gut and picked tape in and I am glad I did! One of the reasons was: bead extensions is not as easy and comfortable to put into a pony tail!
Tape-in hair extensions
Tape-in hair extensions are hair extensions attached to thin tape that sandwiches your real hair with two hair extension tapes!!! No harm to your natural hair!
Should you order your hair extensions online?
It depends!
If you have a pretty easy hair color like black or dark brown, it is very easy for you to just order your hair color online, but for me, I couldn't do that.
So, I went to a hair stylist to help me pick my color. Now, that I know my color, I don't think I will ever go back to a hair stylist! Why? Because it is so expensive! I do think the first time around, you should make an appointment and get help from a hair stylist to pick your perfect extensions color! But now, I can take out and put in my own hair extensions!
My hair extensions are REMY hair extensions! REMY hair extensions are literally like my real hair! Wash it, dry it, curl it, straighten it, cut it, dye it! It's your hair!
Lets talk money $$$
I'm gonna keep it real with you! I spent around $600 for the 22 inch hair and about $125 for the hairstylist to apply it! This hair will last me 2 years or more!
If you think about it, buying this good of quality hair that will last you 24 months would almost be like a $25 monthly subscription of hair!! Isn't that a fun way to put it?
I had wanted this for over a year and half when I finally had enough money saved up! If you truly want it, I say go for it! With this long hair, I just felt and still feel like a princess!
Also, you don't have to spend that much on the hair! After looking up some REMY hair extensions, it can cost as little as $200 for really nice quality tape-in extensions. My hair costed around $250, but because I wanted length and thickness, the hairstylist recommended two packs of the hair extensions.
The hairstylist wanted me to come back every 6 weeks... BUT, once the pandemic hit and salons closed, I needed to quickly figure out how to take them out myself.
I ended up taking them out around... 12 weeks? LOL, so much for that 6 week recommendation! When I took them out, my hair was fine! That kind of proved to me that I didn't have to take them out as often as the hair stylist was wanting me to... I think the main reason may have been the fact that it costs $150 for them to take them out and put them back in for me.... Don't forget the 20% tip for doing my hair! IT ADDS UP!
BUT GUESS WHAT! You can do it at home and save yourself $150 a month.
All you have to do is purchase (from Amazon personally) new tape for your tape in extensions and tape remover for tape in extensions! This is what I personally purchased!

So for around $20, I was able to take out and put my extensions back in!
I watched many YouTube videos on how to do this! You can do it by yourself or have someone help you! I actually convinced my sweet boyfriend to help me! He actually has done it twice for me! Of course, the first round took a much longer time than the first time!! We didn't truly know what we were doing! It probably took three hours to take out and three to put back in!
This recent time around, it took him an hour and a half!
Watch our silly TikTok where I vlog what him and I do on getting my hair extensions out!

For $25 or less a month, you can have princess hair!!!!!!
